How to Reach Yusmarg

A few kilometres away from Doodhganga, Nilnag is a high altitude lake surrounded by a pine forest. It is recommended to bring a guide with you if you plan to participate in the Nilnag Lake Trek. Ponies can also be rented to transport you to and from Nil Nag Lake.
Sang-e-Safed Valley: The “White Rocks” or Sang-e-Safed Valley, which is about 10 kilometres from Yusmarg, is well-known for its frozen lake. The Doodhganga stream cuts an oval-shaped swath through the valley. Sang-e-Safed Valley is also accessible by pony. The excursion will take virtually the whole day to complete.
Lidder Mad and Haijan: These two meadows are located 4 kilometres from Yusmarg and are on the route to Sang-e-Safed.
