Nestled in the picturesque valley of Kashmir, the journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam is a breathtaking experience that leaves you mesmerized by the natural beauty that surrounds you. This is why, when I decided to travel to Kashmir, I knew that I had to add this journey to my itinerary. And what better way to do that than with the help of a local travel agency, Holidays Hunt.
With their customized Kashmir tour package, Holidays Hunt had arranged for our transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing activities for the entire trip. And as we set out on our journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam, we knew that we were in for an unforgettable adventure.
The drive from Srinagar to Pahalgam took us through the scenic countryside, where we got a glimpse of the local way of life. The locals were friendly and welcoming, and we stopped at several places along the way to interact with them and learn more about their culture and traditions.
The first stop on our journey was at the Martand Sun Temple, located in the small town of Mattan. The temple, dating back to the 8th century, is a stunning example of ancient Kashmiri architecture and is considered one of the most important Hindu temples in the region. As we explored the temple complex, we were amazed by the intricate carvings and the sheer scale of the structure.
Next on our itinerary was the town of Anantnag, where we stopped for a quick lunch break. We sampled some of the local delicacies, including the famous Kashmiri Wazwan, a multi-course meal that is an essential part of any traditional Kashmiri feast.
After lunch, we continued our journey to Pahalgam, driving through picturesque villages and forests that dotted the landscape. As we approached Pahalgam, the scenery grew even more breathtaking. The snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas loomed majestically in the distance, while the gentle gurgle of the Lidder River provided a soothing backdrop to the picturesque landscape.
We arrived in Pahalgam, a charming little town nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Our accommodation, arranged by Holidays Hunt, was a cozy little cottage overlooking the river. The town is famous for its scenic beauty and is a popular destination for hikers, trekkers, and nature lovers.
Over the next few days, we explored Pahalgam and its surroundings, taking in the stunning natural beauty and soaking in the local culture. We visited the Betab Valley, named after a Bollywood movie that was shot there, and were treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear streams, and verdant forests.
We also visited the Aru Valley, a serene and secluded spot that is perfect for a quiet picnic or a leisurely stroll. The valley is surrounded by towering mountains, and the only sound you can hear is the gentle rustling of the leaves and the distant chirping of birds.
Our journey from Srinagar to Pahalgam, organized by Holidays Hunt, was an unforgettable adventure that left us with memories that will last a lifetime. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction made our trip smooth and hassle-free, and we would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Kashmir.
