Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Pathankot - Transfer to Dalhousie (100 km)
Arrive at Pathankot Railway Station and transfer by road to Dalhousie, covering a distance of 100 kilometers in approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Enjoy a leisurely day exploring the charming town known for its scenic beauty. Relax and unwind, indulging in the tranquil atmosphere. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Explore Local Attractions in Dalhousie
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour to explore the enchanting attractions of Dalhousie. Experience the mesmerizing beauty of Khajjiar, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India," with its vast emerald green meadow surrounded by thick deodar forests. Marvel at the stunning mountain views from Lakkar Mandi. Return to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 03: Transfer from Dalhousie to Dharamshala (110 km / 4 hours)
Check out from your hotel in Dalhousie and drive to McLeodganj (Dharamshala), which is magnificently set against the backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountains and serves as the seat of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, since 1960. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening, visit Dal Lake, the Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and the Tibetan Monastery. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Transfer from Dharamshala to Manali (250 km, 9 hours)
After breakfast in the morning, drive to Manali. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05: Explore Local Attractions in Manali
After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Manali. Visit the renowned "Hadimba Temple," built in 1553 with a beautifully crafted four-tiered pagoda roof and famous for its intricately carved doorway. Explore the "Club House," which offers a range of facilities including a roller skating rink, auditorium, billiards rooms, library, bar, and restaurant for a delightful day out. Also, visit the Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and "Vashisth," known for its hot springs and ancient temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and Lord Rama.
Day 06: Excursion to Rohtang Pass (Snow Point) from Manali
Today, experience an exciting excursion to Rohtang Pass, also known as Snow Point, from Manali. Delight in the beauty of the year-round snow-capped mountains and soak in the mesmerizing views. Return to Manali for an overnight stay. Please note that Rohtang Pass is closed on Tuesdays. Additionally, starting from May 15, 2015, Rohtang Pass sightseeing is not included and will be chargeable extra, payable directly by the guest.
Day 07: Transfer from Manali to Chandigarh (390 km, 9 hours)
Check out early in the morning and drive back to Chandigarh. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
