Gulmarg Gondola is the second longest and second highest cable car in the world. Divided into two phases, it ferries almost 600 people per hour to and from Apharwat Mountain. The cable car ascends 1,330 vertical metres to a height of nearly 4,000m.

The main attraction in Gulmarg is the second-longest and second-highest cable car in the world, the Gulmarg Gondola. With two stages, it transports around 600 people every hour to and from the Apharwat Mountain, which is where the majority of Gulmarg’s winter activities take place.
Gulmarg Gondola Phase 1
People ride the Gulmarg Gondola’s Phase 1 from Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station (middle station). It rises 400 metres vertically from its 2,990-meter starting point. It transports 1500 people each hour up to 3100 metres in height.
Gulmarg Gondola Phase 2
Apharwat Peak and Kongdoori Mountain are connected by Gulmarg Gondola Phase 2. The cable car carries 600 passengers each hour and ascends 1,330 vertical metres to a height of about 4,000m. You can continue your 30-minute hike to the peak after arriving at the station. The Line of Control, or LOC, can be seen from this position.
Gulmarg Gondola Phase 3
In 2011, 90 chairlifts were installed as part of the third phase of the Gulmarg Gondola project. A lot of skiing competitions are held at Mary Shoulder, which is connected to Kongdori by a chairlift. The chairlift travels between two locations in 11 minutes.
