Your day-to-day plan
Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar – Golden Temple & Local Sightseeing
Arrive in Amritsar and check in to your hotel. After freshening up, visit the serene Golden Temple, a spiritual and cultural icon of Sikhism. Later, explore Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial of national importance, Wagha Border and enjoy shopping or street food at the colorful Hall Bazaar. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 2: Amritsar to Dalhousie (Approx. 200 km / 5-6 hrs)
After breakfast, drive towards the scenic hill station of Dalhousie. On arrival, check into your hotel and spend the evening relaxing or take a peaceful walk around Subhash Chowk and the local Tibetan Market. Enjoy an overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Day 3: Dalhousie – Excursion to Khajjiar (Mini Switzerland of India)
Post breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Khajjiar, also known as the Mini Switzerland of India. Enjoy horse riding, zorbing, and breathtaking views of pine forests and meadows. Visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary and Panchpula if time permits. Return to Dalhousie for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Dalhousie to Dharamshala (Approx. 120 km / 4 hrs)
Check out after breakfast and drive to Dharamshala, the land of the Dalai Lama. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. Visit the local Tibetan market and enjoy a quiet evening at the nearby cafes of McLeodganj. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 5: Explore Dharamshala & McLeodganj
Today, explore the spiritual charm of Dharamshala and McLeodganj. Visit the Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsu Waterfall, Dal Lake, St. John’s Church, and the Tibetan Museum. You can also visit the HPCA Cricket Stadium for panoramic views. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 6: Departure from Pathankot (Approx. 90 km / 3 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Pathankot Railway Station for your return journey, carrying along unforgettable memories of Amritsar, Dalhousie, and Dharamshala.
